Also, I should add that if you had the change, please state if it was from ‘freshman’ to ‘non-renewable’ and vice-versa. Yeah, @pizzaandpeonies I was thinking the same thing. I believe that if one or two people get the change, it would be safe to infer that change was personal. But when it is about over 5 people, I must say it was done on purpose. So, @myungbi , with all due respect, either you haven’t refreshed the housing page, your housing hasn’t changed yet, or you are just being a buffoon.
I thought you weren’t coming back till decisions were out? Lmao
Really? go imgur dot com + front slash + “L4kdT0y”
Look at what time it is. Look at what tab I have open. I JUST took that screenshot.
I just got the change from Freshman back to Non-Renewable Undergrad.
@dehca2016 SHUT UP LOL
everyone ignore him
I wrote why I came back on page 80 haha @dehca2016
My housing just changed as well, it must have just been in the past hour or so because I checked it two hours ago and it still said “Freshman”. Let’s hope good news is still in our futures!
I think it’s pretty safe to assume that if you haven’t received a change from non-renewable to freshmen, you’re out of luck since everyone who had freshmen for their housing status got changed back to non-renewable.
mine switched back - someone told me that is close to admissions that they can change their mind - all that had changes go back to non renewable - I wonder what school you applied to and did you need a great deal of financial aid. I am thinking of the financial aid was too much they possibly can switch - my school is CAS - I thought I was getting in but now I know I didnt
@clkodu98739 they said they’re done with decisions, so i don’t think they’re randomly changing now. anyway i didn’t even apply for financial aid
Those of you trying to make sense of what’s happening but decide to ignore/berate people who show evidence rejecting your ideas need to stop. This is not how collecting data is like. You’ll all be notified in a week of your acceptance; there’s no reason to stress out, or to call others out. Everyone’s situation is different, and the housing change may not even matter this time around. Just realize there’s nothing you can do to affect the outcome and let it happen.
@julianag7 Are you RD or ED2?
(just double-checking)
@adreamer22 dehca2016 is actually kidding though…
My housing has also changed back to “Non-renewable Undergraduate”. It just says that under the fall though. Spring still has “this application is not available”. is that the same with everyone?
@4567sert yes! same thing for me
@InAmAp I’m ED2 applying to CAS.
Wait people still have the change to freshman? I find it hard to believe that 6+ people just on CC got the change and it means we got rejected. I’m assuming they just found the glitch and fixed it, but I mean hey-- only one more week until we find out for sure.
@julianag7 I believe they decided to at least partially correct the glitch as well. @4567sert I have the exact same thing that you have.
looks like a pattern - wondering if there is anyone that still has Freshman - wonder if there is anything else that can be an identifier as getting in that is more subtle. One more week and we will know - should be interesting to see who gets in and if in fact the housing change initially to freshman has any correlation
I think there are two possibilities:
- It is purely resulted from automatic process based on their system. In account of the post on NYU admission website, it is not random at all, which indicates the final chapter of admission decision has truly come with the thorough system change that resulted in the new house change we received.
- They fixed the glitch in a incomprehensible way existing both "non-renewable" and "freshman" as that kid claimed.
Anyway, i don’t think it is necessarily a bane. I prone to my first point.
Most importantly: i believe those who had received house change do enter the realm of the accepted, hopefully.
I agree with @Chalamagne916 Think about it, how many people have claimed that their housing changed from ‘freshman’ to ‘non-renewable’? It has to be over 10 now… How many people have claimed that they still have freshman? Only one I believe?
