Hey everyone I just want to double-check, NYU ED allows you to apply to other EA schools right? I just got accepted to Binghamton EA and will this make any problem to my application to NYU ED?
@MrDiaz It’s fine to apply EA to other schools, just don’t commit anywhere until you hear back from NYU of course.
I applied EA to a couple places myself. Where are you guys applying besides NYU? My top 3 non-NYU choices are University of Toronto, Tufts University, and University of Washington.
I am no longer able to update my application information in my NYU portal - is it the same for you guys?
What do You mean exactly @coffeeandtea? What exactly is it that you cannot update? In my D portal it just has a list of all that is submitted.
And all the different cards

In the applicant portal, under where it says “personal information update request,” it now says application update deadline passed
@coffeeandtea yes hers says the same. I think that is standard for ED so that they can review everything without changes.
@coffeeandtea yes that happened last year 2 or 3 weeks before decision day.

I think the ED acceptance rate last year was around 22%. Top Tier Admissions said over 14,000 students applied ED and that over half of NYU’s enrolled freshman class (NYU site says their class should be around 6,500) are ED students, so 14,500 (since it’s over 14,000) divided by 3,250 (6,500/2) is around 22% acceptance.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if the ED 1 rate is a bit higher than the ED 2 rate
You are forgetting the yield of NYU. Which is about 43%. Only 43% of all accepted students finally enroll in the freshmen class. So acceptance rate should be 51% per your calculation. Which seems high. High 30s% sounds more reasonable.
