My EC’s are all business focused as I have interned with a CPA, HR Recruiter for a Hedge Fund, started my own non-profit organization to end cyberbullying, I started a local business education tutoring organization, and lots of volunteer work. Also I received 3rd Place in the world for the a Business plan presentation as I was the CFO of a VEI firm. Thanks for all your help and I hope to share my good news on this thread!

I’m Tisch Film. Here is my portal analysis…
- can see all the housing options from fall 2019 - Summer 2020. I sent in my application really early, like September, so maybe that has something to do with it.
- my portfolio showed up 10/24, three weeks after I submitted. My CSS 11/1 and my fafsa 12/7. Everything according to the estimated guidelines.
- after receiving an email confirming I wanted my SAT scores removed in October (film is portfolio based), THAT didn't reflect on my portal until 12/4 .
Soooo… was my app finally completed and handed off to the decision person 12/4? Or was it just updated then after it came back? The world will never know.
I just read through this all and now I’m very stressed about the decisions. I’m 99% sure I didn’t get in but I just don’t want the confirmation lmao. But if there’s any Instagram group chats you should add me @lindenhosack
So - one more time. The Housing portal is not a vision of your future. The Summer / current year options say nothing about your admissions chances. And just fyi - Tisch decisions aren’t made at Tisch, they are made by NYU admissions and they are released at the same time as everyone else. Which isn’t now. 
If you’re having fun messing with the portal, enjoy - but if what you’re seeing there is giving you hearburn, relax. You have NOT yet gotten your admission decision via the Housing info. 
@diamondlife your timeline is about like hers. Since we flew there for her to audition that box was checked once I started checking the portal.
@CaMom13 actually Tisch decisions are made at Tisch. That’s why it takes 2-3 weeks for your portfolio to show up on your checklist.
Then Tisch sends their decision to NYU admissions. If Tisch is a yes NYU can either concur and admit or deny if they feel academics are too weak. Since Tisch says yes to such a small amount of applicants then it’s usually an admit, but not always.
If Tisch says no it’s an automatic denial from NYU admissions since there’s no second program selection allowed (at least for Kanbar) except for LSP, which needs SAT’s. I’m assuming most like myself waive that requirement since we are relying on the weight of our portfolios. But like you said, admissions releases all the decisions at once.
And yeah… we know that housing doesn’t predict admission. It’s just interesting seeing how different everyones portals are at the time when they should be exactly the same as we are all applicants.
@Georgia122 did your D submit or waive SAT’s?
I originally sent them with my score sends but was asked if I wanted to waive them as per my Common App via email September 30. They showed received until 12/4 when they switched to waived. That’s what’s perplexing me the most. Is it a good thing or a bad thing it switched so late?
