NYU ED Reject

Listen, I just got rejected by NYU. I would like to go to school in Manhattan. I dont know much about Fordham. How difficult is it to gain admission in relation to NYU?

it definitely would depend on the school in NYU.

They have a higher acceptance rate, but Fordham is still pretty selective. I think in the RD round they accept around 42%, whereas NYU accepts more around 30% (i've heard different statistics though).

Stats? Are you open to both Lincoln Center and Rose Hill at Fordham? But you are smart to start focusing on "plan B". Good luck.

Sorry about your rejection =(. Many of us are still awaiting our EA news.

However, you should do a little more research on Fordham to make sure it fits what you're looking for in a school, rather than applying simply because it's in Manhattan. NYU and Fordham are different, both academically and socially. If you check out their website and search this forum, you'll find some threads that will give you a better look at what Fordham's about.

And like stephennn said, it does depend on which NYU school you applied to. Fordham's average acceptance rate is a little higher though.

Thanks for the input guys thi helps alot. I would be fine with both campuses. My stats are ok, the sats kill me.

if you look around at the acceptances and deferrals you can see that having sub 1200 CR+M is going to hurt.
