Greetings, fellow sufferers of ED notification suspense syndrome! A few questions:

My Albert account is still marked as Gallatin under my Application Status (just as I applied), and my financial aid tab is marked as 2014. You can exercise your own prudence in analyzing that; I’m not speculating admission based off anything aside from the real deal in three days. Nevertheless, on my application I marked that I would like to be considered for other schools, but I didn’t put down any numbers for my preference between New York, London, Florence, and Paris because I want to be in New York — does this mean I won’t be considered for LSP, or does it simply mean I won’t be considered for an international freshman year?

Out of sheer curiosity, to step away from the speculative nature of this thread… What are y’all planning to do after the notification? My recently accepted/rejected friends and I are planning a trip to In-N-Out Burger, for we (as Californians) use In-N-Out as our universal method for either celebrating or for eating our feelings.

@lukemeadowlark I also checked the box that I would like to be considered for other schools, but I did number the boxes in order of which LSP campus I would like (NY was 1 for obvious reasons haha). I don’t remember if it was required that you number the campuses though; I think it was just optional. I think you’ll still be considered for LSP if you checked the box though. But if your application still says Gallatin, maybe it means that you’re still be considered to go straight to Gallatin. (In my case, mine changed from CAS to LSP)

I’m already planning to go to Disneyland after the notificaiton! (Not directly on the same day, but if I actually got accepted on the 18th, I’ll probably go out for sushi and seafood!) In N Out sounds so delicious though. You can’t go wrong with Animal Fries. Sadly, I wish my friends had applied to NYU as well, so we can either celebrate or cry together, but none of my friends applied EDI or even at all. Good-luck to you!!

The fact that we find out in less than 3 days is really getting to us! Although we’re all inclined to our own opinions, we never really know until it’s the 18th.

I’m so nervous. I’m having a lot of doubts and currently feeling like a dunce for focusing on NYU so much that I don’t know a single fact about other colleges. If I happen to get rejected, then I guess no Holiday break for me. Essays on essays on essays (did I mention I did not start other applications nor apply for other schools).

@lukemeadowlark My answers are all based on thoughts so I can’t say to trust me on this one! That being said, I also checked “yes,” allowing them to consider me for other programs and did not even touch the LSP section. However, I applied CAS and now the program says LSP. Hope that helps somewhat. In-N-Out sounds great, btw! My friends have yet to plan… a lot of them have been deferred so they’re currently cramming their many supplements. :(

i’m trying so hard to study oh my goodness… exams… every day next week… it could be the best week ever or the worst week ever. let’s hope its the first.

My midterms aren’t until the week of MLK. But I do have a couple tests later next week. My motivation to study for them will all be decided on the 18th.

I did 4 EA/ED schools. 1 came out already. I got deferred. The next comes out on the 17th and two come out on the 18th, NYU being one of them.

by the way, does anybody think that no change in financial aid might just mean that you’re not getting financial aid? because i applied but my counselor told us that we’re not likely to get any, and mine has not changed.

@littlemeow that would make sense, but I didn’t apply and I’m receiving the 2014 thing. I know for a fact I won’t get any. No scholarships either

To put all your minds at ease: My “notification plan” switched from ED1 to RD over night on Thursday. I SPRINTED 4 blocks from my Acting Shakespeare final evaluation (I had already given my monologue and was done) to my advisors office and he told me that any changes in Albert for the week up to the decisions means nothing! Last year it deleted two kids accounts by accident and the year before had one student applying to the wrong campus. The info that you see may change but your file doesn’t. Therefore it is not a reliable source and we cannot rely on it to give us any information about our decisions. We just need to wait for those letters. Sorry to those who wanted to figure out their decisions but any evidence is not valid. Best of luck to all of you on Tuesday :)
