<p>hey guys… few more days! does anyone know around what time the e-mails (notifying acceptance / rejection) get sent on december 15th?</p>
<p>It was 5:00 pm EST but there was a notice saying that there may be a delay. It won’t come out before that though. If it does I’ll be one of the first to know, since I’ll be staring at my computer and pressing F5 Pottermore-Style until I get an email. :D</p>
<p>To shed some more light on anyone freaking out, while I was in my frantic search I spent days reading every “NYU Accepted/Rejected” thread since 2002, and I can tell you that I saw plenty of people, even in recent years, who got into CAS with a 2000-2100 SAT and 3.4-3.5 GPA. Some Stern at 3.5-3.6 and a good SAT, and I’ve seen Tisch and Steinhardt as low as 3.1 and 1800s. It’s possible…but don’t get too stressed! It’s not the end of the world :)</p>
<p>Also, you learn that chance threads really aren’t super amazing. I went through a period of “freaking out” like no other a month or so ago…I have like 20. I can tell you that people do give good feedback, but when someone says “No chance” you feel super scared and somewhat challenged. You then make more attempts to get people to say you do have a chance. So it’s kind of a circle…we don’t know how adcoms act and we all have a chance. I don’t think the stress is worth it, because whether I get into college X or not does not influence my life (meaning I can still go to a good college and be successful). You guys are all smart individuals and WILL find your place, whether it be NYU or not. Enjoy life while you wait an hope for the best. Good luck again to all ED1s this Thuesday.</p>

Yeah the people that were recruited are the ones that heard back…when I said my friend texted me that her friend found out he got in, she told me today that he was being recruited for music.</p>
