NYU ED2 2019 Discussion/Decision Thread

@farahnj‌ http://nyulocal.com/on-campus/2014/12/12/breaking-down-college-confidential/

It should say “2016 / New York University / Award Access Not Available” this year.

will we get a mail with our decisions or do we check on albert?

albert and then email

1 more day…

@VandaAree thank you!
Don’t have an FA change - guess I’m denied

What time on Friday do you think we’ll find out?

So decisions are being released on Friday?
If thats the case its odd that NYU hasn’t given us the information yet.

What information? The FA change?

I am just so anxious right now, and I can’t focus on my homework because of this…

@szszsz when decisions are going to be released

I guess around 2 pm on Friday according to previous threads

Did any one here apply actuarial science major at NYU Stern? Do you guys think it’s harder or easier to get in compared to other majors offered by Stern?

Joining in late. Better late than never. Haven’t gotten the FA so I’m most likely going to be rejected. I’ll probably end up at The New School or Fordham if I do get rejected

@lizard2117‌ yeah I like the idea of The New School too…
I’ve been accepted to Fordham, but I haven’t heard from TNS yet
But I’m really hoping I get into NYU!!

@shady16‌ Why would NYU let us know they’re releasing decisions sooner? It’d be redundant. Not sure if they’re actually doing it on Friday, but the fact that they aren’t notifying us about it is not really a reason to believe it won’t happen.

@doggy111 I think you have a good shot. Your SAT I is a little on the low end, but your SAT II is fantastic (hopefully they receive it). Your GPA is good as well. Your ECs really stand out which is what I think will get you in. Good luck!

Good luck to everyone. If it is anything similar to ED1, acceptances will start at around 2:30PM on Friday. Don’t stress. If you get in, congrats! If you don’t, that’s great as well. You will get to where you want to go (if you work for it) no matter what some email tells you.

Tip - Make sure that admissions.ops@nyu.edu is set up as a VIP contact in your phone. That way when they email you your decision, you will have a separate alarm to alert you. It freaked me out every time my phone went off or I got an email as I thought NYU was emailing me. If you set them up as VIP, you won’t have that issue.

@saus2019 @NYUFan101 correct me if im wrong but NYU usually posts an “update for ED applicants” about a week before decision day.However a lot of people have reported that the notification date has been moved up and yet NYU still hasn’t officially said anything

@shady16 Yes, that is pretty strange. From what admissions counselors are telling people, Friday is the day. However, I would assume they would have an update today on the admissions blog or something.

@farahnj‌ No problem! And don’t lose hope- it’s just a theory after all, and there have been some exceptions over the years! :smile:
