@tycitykid I haven’t received any emails recently so I think your in the clear. Unless they don’t like me and haven’t emailed me haha.

just kidding…found an old email

The only e-mails I’m recieving are those from the NYU Institute telling me when the parties are, lectures, etc. But nothing formal
Wait, @tycitykid, how do you plan on getting you admission decision then? Will they be sending those out via mail too?

good luck you guys! I’m wishing the best for all of you. Tomorrow will come sooner than we think. And i’m seriously considering accessing my email at school. But what if I freak out…

Hey guys, just here wishing you luck tomorrow!

A little note, you might be able to check if you have been accepted/rejected on Albert before the official emails come in. At around 12PM PST, I checked my Albert and saw a green dot that says, “Admission Decision” and was accepted, where I was able to view my FA information and my 2014 link became clickable. I didn’t receive my official email until 4PM PST. (I was accepted into LSP)

I don’t remember anyone else’s 2014 links becoming clickable before the actual day, so I wouldn’t stress about that.

Good-luck everyone and I hope to see you on the NYU Facebook Class of 2017 page soon! :)

When you were waiting to find out say, a day before emails were sent, did your program under the application status change to LSP beforehand or did it change after you received your email?

one more day… about 15 hours away.
I still don’t see any changes yet, looks like I’m not getting in :(

Good luck everyone!

@arianaduro My program changed to LSP about a week before the official admissions came out.

@helloparis, do you mind me asking what your stats were?

@aeisrael

I have one D who is a freshman in Studio Art and another who graduated last year in Vocal Performance.

Both of these programs offer true merit aid to applicants who do not have any financial need. However, it is only available to students who apply Regular Decision. The departments have access to X amount of money and divide it among applicants in the early spring. It is used as an incentive to get the most talented of applicants to matriculate. Obviously they don’t need an incentive for early decision applicants since they have already agreed to attend if accepted.

This is not to be confused with merit aid that is part of a financial aid package. Students who are granted merit aid as part of financial aid are getting the money from a different source. Even though the award might say talent merit aid, it is part of financial aid and NOT available to those without need.

Good luck all ED-IIers! Wherever you end up, I’m sure you’ll accomplish many things!

@nyudreamz If you look back at my previous posts on my profile, I have posted my stats before. I didn’t exactly have a stellar GPA or SAT, and I still believe to this day that it was my ECs and essays that got me in. (My essays were about Disneyland and how I got introduced to fashion writing, and my ECs were just a lot of fashion-related and blogger-related stuff I’ve done).

My heart is beating so fast.

Here they cooooooome!

@rmui6768 you mean admission decisions ???

mhhhhhhhhhhhhhm!

Is that a yes or no man

yes lolol. woohoo so pumped for that rejection.

I’m freaking out! I just don’t want a rejection but I think I’m getting one! I REALLY hope not though!! :P
