What do you mean by, “you have not been accepted or denied”? I got this message, so is it possible that my application wasn’t processed or something? I mean, I sent everything in on time.

I can’t click on mine either, I really hope that is not a bad thing!

Also the same thing shows up on my financial aid accept/decline page. I don’t know if that changed originally or if that page was always like that.

what about for those who did not apply FA…?

I didn’t apply for financial aid or submit the fafsa/other forms. Would that affect this page?

I didn’t apply for financial aid either, but my financial aid thing still says the “2014” thing.

urmahgurd and adreams are claiming that the non-clickable “2014 Award Access Not Available” message does not indicate acceptance. The claims seem to be coming from nowhere, especially since the efforts of nyuclassof2017 and I have not found any counterexamples to the theory that “2014 Award Access Not Available” means acceptance.

We only found evidence to support the theory. No counterexamples could be found.

Take responsibility for what you say by finding reproducible evidence beforehand. Saying that a non-clickable “2014 Award Access Not Available” message doesn’t mean anything in either direction is, as I currently see, baseless. No more lazy musings. No more soothing disinformation. Find evidence and help everyone. Otherwise, keep this thread clean.

Ok so I just have 2014 (no link) and award access not available. Does anyone see what adreams posted? (2014 link/New York University/2013-2014) Now I’m worried.

@ckc123456

Don’t worry about it. The picture that adreams posted is a message that is posted on Albert a few minutes prior to receiving your acceptance letter. So that’ll appear around 4:55 PM EST tomorrow.

According to your message and the correlation between “2014 Award Access Not Available”, you’re in. So tomorrow near 5:00 PM on Albert, you can expect to find the identical message adreams posted.

Don’t forget to post in this thread when you receive your admissions decision, ckc123456:

My son applied RD back in October. He has the 2014 message. Could this mean he has been accepted?

Befor we cut each other’s throats let me ask what was the message that was before the “change”.

@diak18

The original message is “There is no financial aid information found.”

Woow, when I look back and think about the fact that I have honestly thought that coming up here would help me be calm because we are all in the same position (not knowing what awaits us). But now, I think I should have let myself to live in ignorance. I’m even tenser now than I was before, and I thought that wasn’t even possible, to be honest…

I wonder if the NYU admissions officers are reading this thread. They’re pretty strict about releasing decisions on the specified dates and giving hints through the FA office doesn’t meet their guidelines.

But hey what do I know lol. I actually believe this theory and have already accepted my rejection.

Just for all those who are reading this thread, there are so many mitigating factors that can baffle this argument. So if you haven’t had your financial aid updated like me, all is still not lost!

Can someone explain the principle behind the practice of releasing all the decisions at once? I mean wouldn’t it be better for both the students and school to release it as soon as it is decided for an individual?

For the students it would be better since most of them would know it earlier.

And the school would not have to deal with stressed out students calling and e-mailing them. If someone for example called them twice in the last two days regarding minor stuff and if say they dumped that applicant’s application on the first day than they would not have had to deal with her/him today and yesterday.

That is called rolling admissions, and it would mean that people who applied earlier would have a better chance than those who waited until the deadline. For high-ranked universities such as NYU, it would mean that, potentially, their freshman class would not be the best it could be.

Does anyone have a clue as to NYU’s policy on mid year grades. Mine were apparently downloaded on 1/25 but are they considered by the school? Can they hurt my chances?

One more day! One day more!

I wish you all the best of luck, and cross my fingers hoping to see you guys in the big city next fall!

Good Luck Everyone!!! I love you all!!!

i’m realizing now that i haven’t received a single email from NYU and I don’t remember including my email address in the application. can anyone tell me what the emails have said and if they remember providing their email address?
