I got into scps <3

I got in and had the financial aid change before so I guess the rumors are true:)

I GOT IT!!! I didnāt apply for fa but my fa changed to ā2014 award access not availableā and it wasnāt clickable and it still isnāt i dont think!

I have never cried so hard!

T____T I got the email during my 4th period, and I started to scream so loud!!!

I got into Core Program to Florence tho.

Anyone admitted to Core program?

Whatevs. Iām trying not to make a big deal about it, but itās hard not to think about since it was my top and first choice schoolā¦

Itās NYUās loss.

@foolsgold12 I got into the core program in Florence also!! And question to all: have you been able to view your financial aid yet?

@teree You will find a better school for you. :)

Accepted into CAS! How do I find out my financial aid deal?

Lsp Parisss, pls talk to meee

@chacha123 yeah I canāt click on my 2014 and the award available is still not found. Is it because I didnāt apply for financial aid?

got admitted!!! i did get the financial aid change into 2014 award access not available even though i didnāt apply for financial aid. i guess the whole theory might be true congrats to everyone else who got accepted!

I also got accepted into NYU! I applied for Stern but got into LSP. Which I donāt mind since I can apply to it after I complete the 2-year core program. I have a question though, in the email they added:

āPlease be aware that should you accept your offer of admission, we will expect that you spend your freshman year at our global academic center in Paris.ā

Paris is a great city, and this is a nice opportunity, but I didnāt apply for year abroad and honestly would not like to. Iām wondering if I can opt out of this and take my freshmen year in NY instead? Iāll ask on Tuesday since itās a long-weekend, but if anyone knows something I donāt, then please do share!

Also, nice to meet you all Class of 2017!

You can try asking but I highly doubt that theyāll let you spend your freshman year in NYC. Iāve never heard of such case before, unfortunately.
Oh yeah, and LSP students arenāt allowed to transfer to Sternā¦only CAS, Steinhardt, etc.

Thanks for the reply!
Iāll ask to double check, but it just doesnāt make sense. I didnāt apply for year abroad, why would they randomly add that as an additional requirement to my offer? Itās weird and complicates things, Iād just like to settle and study my entire degree in one place. And yeah I heard about the transfer, Iāll have to re-apply to Stern if I decide to go there, but at least the process is shorter, less complicated and internally. Itās based on the scores you get during your two years.

Edit: I checked out the supplement I filled out for NYU, although I didnāt fill the year abroad section out, it does say this:

āEach year, we select students admitted to our program in Liberal Studies and offer them the opportunity to begin their NYU studies at one of our global academic centers in London, Florence, Paris, or Shanghai, where they will be taught by NYU faculty and live in NYU residence halls. Though space is extremely limited, admitted students may have this option of spending their first year at one of our global academic centers before continuing their studies at NYUās campus in New York City. Students must be 18 by August 15, 2012, to begin their studies at one of our global academic centers.ā

This suggests that itās an option, right?

Hi, when is the latest that notification emails are going out for NYU NYC? I applied to both NYU Shanghai and NYU NYC (Stern), but I have only received an acceptance email from NYU Shanghai Admissions at 3:05PM so far.

When I checked my status online, I was accepted to NYU Shanghai and pending for NYU NYC (Stern). I canāt do the FA test (the one where 'ā2014 Award Access Not Availableā forecasts an acceptance) on the Albert page since my FA info for NYU Shanghai is up haha

@KJEO6582 Yes you can. Thatās what I got accepted into.

āPlease be aware that while you are encouraged to study abroad during your tenure at NYU, we expect that you will begin your freshman year at our campus on Washington Square in New York City.ā

ni hao, stern

@cmtokyo

Yeah, your requirement is to begin your freshman year in NYC, but others are given different requirements.

I got into CAS for pre-medicine (biological science)!!! HOORAY!! See you all in the big city!! I canāt wait to meet you!!! :)

^Congratulations! Hope to see you next year!
