@renegade23 but I have freshman under fall as well… What
@gettingintostern From where are you getting this information?
@gettingintostern @myungbi I don’t believe you can even get deferred from EDII to RD, and even if it’s possible, NYU rarely defers anyone. It’s one-and-done for the most part
@myungbi what info? I’m just guessing since it’s so unusual for people to get freshman under spring
@myungbi Which school did you apply as first choice and second? I applied Stern and then CAS
@gettingintostern I only applied to CAS. Let’s not make assumptions here and impose them onto others, this only increases the anxiety of others. Meanwhile this housing theory might hold value, at the end of the day we can only wait another 9 days until our actual decisions come out. Until then, best of luck to the both of us!
Let’s do something silly but practical for statistical use: if you got house change, count on! (1,2,3…)

i was excited when i got the housing change but now i’m just plain scared and nervous. does anyone know anyone in previous years anyone who got the housing change and got rejected?
@creed67 I’ve dug around and haven’t seen anyone, but I may have missed someone. The general trend has been that those with the housing change have gotten accepted, and those without after 1 day of the decision date were rejected, so basically no housing change does mean a rejection in most cases according to everyone’s reports, but the change can occur up to a day after decisions are released, so it does not matter if you do not have the change, since there is still plenty of time to receive it.
People in the NYU ED2 class of 2020 page are posting that they initially got the change, but it changed back to normal-- including me. Anyone else on the same boat? Do you think this is a bad thing, that they at first accepted us but then decided against us?
@julianag7 I don’t think its a bad thing. Since the majority have received the change.
would I still get the housing chnage if I applied to the LSP Freshman year in London? because the housing is different there
@aik257 wouldn’t worry about the change anymore. it seems it has been fixed.
I just checked and didn’t see any change but only two nonrenewable applications. Does that mean I’m not accepted?
@jackieswen with two non renewable undergraduate, that only means you don’t have the housing change. The housing change does correlate with acceptance but there are some people who got accepted without housing change, maybe you are one of them so definitely don’t lose hope! no matter what happened you should always be proud of yourself!
@kker98 I just went over the threads and saw people confirming the housing theory is true so I’m really nervous
