I got in this year, and my FA didn’t change until after decisions came out.

Main campus choice: NYC- Stern School of Business
Admission plan: ED1
Financial aid message: Award Access Not Available
GPA: 3.6
SAT: 2000

my stats are low for stern, but I hope a miracle happens

-Main campus choice: New York City
-Admission plan: ED1
-Financial aid message: 2015: No self-service access for this aid year.
-GPA: 3.17 unweighted 3.46 weighted
-SAT: 1980

Decision: Not yet known

-Main campus choice: NYC
-Admission plan: ED I
-FA message: 2014 No self-serivce access for this aid year AND 2015 award access not available
-GPA: 3.33 (unweighted)
-ACT: 30

DECISION: ACCEPTED TO LSP

2018 EDI students: were there any applicants who had the FA change, and got denied?

bump

NYU CAS (changed to LSP?)
EDII
2015 NYU Award Access Not Available
End of January
GPA: 3.72 UW
SAT: 2060
Decision: ?

International, didn’t apply for FA but still got FA change.

NYU CAS (Changed to LSP)
EDII
2015 NYU Award Access Not Available
I’m not sure when it changed
GPA: 3.4 UW (not 100% sure, school doesn’t calculate GPA)
SAT: 1950
Did not apply for FA
Decision: unknown but soon!

Uhhhhh I’m confused. Is this the fa change disclosure thread we’re all using or the other one? Can we make this definite so that it’s not confusing?? I think we should create a NEW thread tonight where people can write their FA information + other info as well as their decision results all in one post. This way, next year’s applicants, will not have to click through the pages to match things up. @NYUhopeful1 @outonalimb

We’re definitely using the otherone as it is strictly for ED II applicants!

-NYU STERN
-Admission plan (ED1/ED2/RD)L: ED2
-Financial aid message: I got the change
-Decision: Rejected

NYU hopeful is also an international: as a side jote

Notes:

For every thread before ED II 2014, there were only 2 people who reported getting rejected with the FA change
-1 was international
-Another applied from NJ, but to NYU Shanghai, so he might have been considered as international also since Shanghai is in China…

As of 2014 ED II so far: 4 internationals were rejected, 1 domestic from Florida was rejected

-3 internationals had FA changes but were rejected, the other 1 international didn’t get a FA change and barely even knew how to speak english based on his posts
-The 1 US citizen didn’t get an FA change at all

Current Conclusion:
The FA Change Theory does NOT apply for INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS, and still DOES apply to US Citizens

Domestic
2300 SAT 94/100 UW
No Financial Aid
FA Change
Stern
Accepted

I got the fa change and was accepted into LSP! I think it’s true but future students shouldn’t depend on this theory because admissions may change their protocol in reporting acceptances and rejections. I was excited but tried not to keep my hopes up too high because rejection after having such high hope is awful.

I wasn’t international. They said I’m considered domestic for application but international for financial aid so I don’t know if that makes a difference

I got the FA change around 1 week before being accepted. Btw, I was international applying to NYU Shanghai

What does it mean if it says "Award access not available " instead of “2015 award access not available”
@Lalalalalax im in the same situation now and it is already 6th of feb. Did your fa has changed since your last post here?
I got the 2016 New York University Award Access not Available fa change
