Is everyone on this thread an external transfer? Because on their website it says that decisions release from “May-June” for external transfers and from “April-May” for internal transfers
What??? Are you guys internal transfers?
I am an external transfer. There are people on this thread that are also external transfers that have already received decisions, also.
Ok in addition to my last post:
I applied on March 14 and my checklist was gone for a really long time. I think it was gone before April 5. They didn’t ask me for a midterm report but I think that’s because I submitted one on my own right when I got access to the portal. Also, I don’t think the member-affiliate or member-student or member thing is indicative of anything bc plenty of member-students have also been accepted! Good luck guys
I just don’t get why it says that on there website though (how decisions are supposed to come out from May-June for externals).
@westvillagelover did you get an email about the update decision?
@westvillagelover do you mind sharing your stats?
@vuvananh99 yes at 4:05 pm EST yesterday

- current university: Notre Dame

- SAT: submitted a superscore of 1410 and essay 7/8/8
- did IB my junior/senior year and submitted the scores: 39/45
- ECs: had leadership positions at 2 relevant non-profits, editor-in-chief of yearbook, varsity cross country/track, chosen as 1 of 7 people at my school to go to Bangkok for an art convention, took part in art exhibitions, freelance artist, national art honor society, volunteered in a competitive hospital position in 10th grade
- awards: never won any national awards, but received the English award in sophomore yr and Arts award in senior yr at my school

let me know if you have more questions and good luck!!
idk if this helped either but I emailed the transfer NYU email a lot and asked them a lot of questions so they were more familiar w me
Hey! I got into Gallatin as well :). (Got my decision yesterday 4pm) is there a fb or WhatsApp group already?
Hey! I got into Gallatin yesterday around 4PM as well. My checklist disappeared only a few hours before I got my decision. I was also able to access my transfer credits on Albert, so I don’t know if everybody who applied could see it. Hope all goes well with all of you! A lot of decisions I heard come out in first week of May so there is still hope guys!
Does anyone know if NYU will accept a pass/fail class for credit?
Hope this helps!
THANK YOU
tbh the way everyone focused on the Zoom profile thing I thought people had a lot of evidence to back it up.
People were confidently asserting that Affiliate = acceptance, Student = rejection/toss up, and just Member = rejection. Looking at the Spring 2020 transfer forum, there were rejections and acceptances for all Zoom profile roles. Member - Affiliate, Member - Student, and just plain old Member. And we are seeing this in the Fall Transfer 2020 forum as well. I remember someone named Nib (?) a few pages back getting accepted with Member - Student and someone else further back in this thread that got accepted with just regular Member as their Zoom role (and still had the checklist remaining as well).
@dood523 I actually submitted it April 1 lol
Since my question hasn’t been answered and I know some other people where wondering the same thing, I’ll just ask the question again.
Does anyone know who to email to get an extension on confirming enrollment?
You are welcome to call them Monday and find out
I was accepted yesterday and my Zoom profile still lists me as “Member” so I feel like it doesn’t have any bearing on anything with the application process.
