I am dying to get into this school. It is very small and selective, and thrice as hard it seems to get in as a transfer. Nonetheless I'll give it a shot!

I currently go to a 2nd tier private liberal arts institution.

GPA: 3.5 (the weakest part of my app. Screwed up first semester, doing way better now)
High school: 92 avg. Went to a very competitive magnet school
SAT: 2070 (Reading, Writing, Math: 660, 710, 700, respectively)
Have some SAT II's not worth writing home about, also took AP English.

A list of my accomplishments: Editor in two publications, currently hold two publishing internships, volunteered for a youth media organization in high school (had reporting printed in the NY Daily news), published in several campus literary journals, was in chorus/a capella for many years.

I spent a lot of time polishning my essay. Gallatin seems like such a great fit for me, I'd be crushed by rejection, but I'm trying to stay realistic and not get my head too far up in the clouds. I can only imagine how many impressive applications they must receive.

Chances please?
