Quick question(s) - On the step where, after filling out the survey, we get a list of other possible roommates and their description, do those shown have the same housing preferences (i.e. suppose our selected roommate has listed different dorms)? Also, do most people go through this step or skip it? In general, can someone just explain this step. Thanks so much!!!

I would like to know as well…

Not sure about this, but my son is in the process of completing the survey. It would probably be helpful if everyone put their name and housing preferences in the profile. (It would definitely save time if NYU is not taking the dorm preferences into consideration.)

So I called, and the answers are:

Personality survey matches may have different dorm preferences than you; you need to contact them to find out.

Some people go through this step, but others just skip it and get matched with whoever NYU chooses (still based on the personality survey though).
