I’m from Adelaide, Australia and I’m interested in applying “undecided” at NYU.
As stated on their website, they only require one type of standardized testing which my high school diploma(SACE- ATAR) is accepted.
Does anyone know the average of ATAR that is accepted to NYU??(I will probably receive around 95- top 5%)
Would it be beneficial to take the SATs as well? ( Considering I’ve studied heaps for it… but on practice tests I got 1320)
Additionally, how do you apply undecided, because doesn’t NYU have different campusus in one city… How would that work??
Should I apply early bird with my SAT scores or later with my ATAR??
Financially, I am grateful its not a problem…
What would be most beneficial to my situation right here?? What should I do??
I’ve never studied in Australia so I’m not familiar with the ATAR, but if they accept it and you can get a top score, then go for it! If you really want to, take the SAT as well, but just note that a 1320 isn’t very competitive for some of the colleges.
As for applying undecided, you can, but it’s a bit limiting. You can apply undecided within CAS since they have the most variety when it comes to majors, but in other schools, you’re more than likely going to have to select a projected major. While you don’t have to follow through with the major you choose for the most part, when you are accepted, you are accepted to the college you select and that college only, so if you want to change to a major that is not offered in your school of choice, you will have to apply as an internal transfer to the college that offers it.
