NYU Mail

We live in North Carolina and my daughter received her letter inviting us to the Tisch Admitted Student Program today!!! :)

Transfers are not invited to this event, only incoming freshmen.

Transfers find out usually in May.

Yay shelleybug!

Welcome to CC....nothing like acceptances to bring out people to post! Join us!

We're in Virginia and my daughter just got her letter from Tisch..."Happy to inform you that your letter of acceptance is on its way". Very exciting news!

Yay for your daughter too, racmom! Enjoy the moment!

Does anyone know if the NYU-Tisch financial aid awards are sent at the same time as the official acceptance letters?

yes hopefully we'll get ours tomorrow!! The woman i spoke to at tisch admissions also said that they don't send them all together they send them in "waves" so im hoping mine is tomorrow.. I was told they accept 500 people which sounds like a lot but not when you consider how many auditioned. Im driving myself crazy worrying:/

Did she say they accept 500 people to Tisch alone? Wow.......hopefully ours is on the way too. 500 is much better odds that 16 at CMU......

i was told usually 2,000- 2,500 audition and they'll accept 500.. so yes it seems pretty good:)

tisch drama letter arrived today :) best day ever. im in michigan for those who are trying to track the mail

Yes, the financial aid offer comes with the official acceptance letter but not with the Saturday in the Square invite.

My son goes to a prep school and we are on spring break. A friend of his just called and said there is an envelope in his mailbox from NYU with the sender's address listed as "NYU Undergraduate Admissions Events". Can anyone tell me if that was the address of the sender on your son or daughter's letter? He can't get in to his mailbox until tomorrow and we are on pins and needles!! Thanks!

does anyone know if the "waves" are definitely according to location?

Nclusc78, Yes! "NYU Undergraduate Admissions Events" was the name of the "sender" in which my letter was addressed from. Congratulations!

Thanks AmbitiousMind07! I let my son drive to school late last night and he got his letter. He is so thrilled! Now he is anxious to find out what studio he has been assigned to. He's a Drama major. Fun stuff!

Congrats to your son...I'll add him to the Acceptance threads!

Does anyone know how they send these " waves" of mail. is it by location or alphabetically by name... and when do you think the latest would be to get an invitation? thanks

We live in Oregon and my daughter got her Tisch accepted students event invitation today. Life is good now. I love it that they put "congratulations" right on the front of the envelope to make opening that intimidatingly thin envelope a little less stressful. Best of luck to everyone. I can't believe this incredibly difficult period is nearly at an end.
