<p>Hey all, </p>

<p>Did anyone else's majors change when they logged into NYU albert? Mine changed from Pre-professional law to liberal art studies. Does anyone know what this means? </p>

<p>Btw, my financial aid status still has not changed. Not sure if this is important.</p>

<p>Daughters also changed from pre-professional law to liberal studies. But her financial aid status still has not changed. </p>

<p>It means that when you applied to NYU, you checked the box that said you would be willing to be considered for the Liberal Studies program if they cannot offer you a spot in your first choice major. At this point, you should assume are under consideration for your second choice major and not your first. Read up on LSP (which you stay in for the first 2 years). It’s not a bad way to go at all but there are some schools (like Stern and I think Tisch) that one cannot transfer into out of LSP. Majors in CAS which I think includes pre-law are available. Good luck!</p>

<p>I think the FA thing is a red herring btw but I can’t prove it. I would not read anything into it.</p>

<p>In ED II, people who saw this change mostly got into LSP, so this is a good sign!</p>

<p>Is this ‘pre-professional law’ a major? Or is it like… you want to do ‘pre-law’ (which is more like an advising center in CAS) to get into law school?</p>

@nyuclassof2017 did the people in ED II have a change In their financial aid as well?</p>

<p>I just checked my status and both my major and financial aid status changed. I really hope this is good news. I don’t want to get my hopes up though.</p>

If I do get into LSP, I hope I can study in NYC -fingers crossed-</p>

It’s a bit different than the change other people had which was award access not available</p>

<p>Check out this link from last year’s posts. It seems that it might just have changed for anyone who said they were interested in the program, and doesn’t necessarily mean you were rejected from the school of your choice.</p>
