hey have you guys checked out your financial aid status? if you followed up with the ed candidates, a change in financial aid message could mean an acceptance. it sounds crazy but for someone so anxious it creates somewhat of a false sense of relief (if that makes sense, lol).

I applied to Steinhardt MCC! I checked my financial aid status and it never changed… So hopefully that means nothing.

My son’s financial aid changed and he applied RD.

do you guys know what day exactly we’ll be hearing back?

April 1st sometime after 5 o’clock. My FA did not change and it is making me a little anxious.

is anyone here applying through HEOP, if so have they given you any more info on submitting financial forms?

I applied to HEOP, but am still in the process of submitting my CSS noncustodial profile waiver so my financial aid isn’t completely submitted but will be by next week. When do we find out if we get called in for the HEOP interview?

applied RD for CAS economics
no change in FA status :(

I applied to CAS for the 7 year dental program! i really liked NYU when i visited this summer…i think the cost will keep me from actually going though (60,000+ for undergrad then 90,000+ for dental school = lots of debt)

This is probably a stupid question but how do we check our financial aid status?

If you log into Albert, then there will be a button on the left side that says “financial aid status”.

If you don’t have it yet, really, don’t worry. Regular decisions come out April 1st, and NYU makes decisions along the way, so if you get in, you will probably see a change 1-2 weeks before decisions are released.

I applied RD and I never got any notification for an Albert login?

when you guys say that your FA hasn’t changed, does it say “There is no financial aid information found?”

I’ve sent in all my docs before the deadline but I haven’t received confirmation

^ that’s the message that everyone has by default, even after everything’s been sent and received. when your message changes to “2014 Award Access Not Available”, according to the theory, it means you’ve been accepted. but again, either a) this theory has only worked for past applicants, or b) they have yet to go over your application.

@nikoru, idk I haven’t received a call for an heop interview, even though I’ve heard back from heop from my other schools

@nyuclassof2017 that does make sense… Plus I also emailed my rep a couple of weeks ago to add something to my application so there’s a huge chance that it hasn’t been reviewed (or re-reviewed) yet.

if you get the message you can pretty much say youre in, PROVIDED same practice is conducted for ed applicants. If you havent dont worry they might not have finished reviewing.

But good luck everyone.

does the change in the FA status applies to only student who applied for FA? is it possible for those who don’t apply for FA to get a status change?

It applies to everyone, not just people who applied for FA. I didn’t apply for FA, mine changed, and I was accepted EDII.
