I am lucky enough to have gotten into my top three choices! Obviously, they are all incredibly different schools. I'm interested in the creative writing programs at both, but I love the Block Plan of CC. I don't know if I'm looking for a typical college experience or living in the city. I am definitely looking for a party scene. PLEASE help me decide.

What are the costs of the schools?

In my situation, cost is irrelevant.

Colorado College will a typical college experience (D-1 sports, etc), NYU will be you living in the city. I would choose between those two.

Good schools. Congratulations. You haven’t given us enough information about yourself and your preferences to help you.

oberlin is beautiful and thoughtful and fun – party scene is small-town but lively. my sister went there and I visited, it really is a lovely place

I guess it depends on what you mean by party scene — is the OP looking for football game tailgates, etc. or just hanging out in dorms

HAHAHAHHAA U LIBERAL ■■■■

Colorado College seems to have a pretty good party scene, but it’s not exactly typical. It would not revolve around fraternity and tailgate parties. The Greek scene is understated and there are only 2 D1 sports (men’s hockey and women’s soccer). Ask around about what students do not only on weekends but on the “block breaks”.

I would expect Oberlin to have a more inward-focused, self-contained social scene than NYU or CC. NYU has all of New York, and Colorado College has the Rockies, to draw you away.

I’ve narrowed it down to NYU or Colorado College.

Lets put this way, at NYU you party with the world, at CC you party with the Rockies.

Not exactly true, but have you got the vibe? =))
