Nyu Or Penn ??????which One?

Which One Is Better?stern Or Wharton?

Discuss ...

wharton......

if u can get in....wharton duh
but stern is extremely good if you can get into that too
just go to what u can get into and if you get into both and you would give up living in NYC to Pennsylvania, hands down Wharton

I have not been impressed with what I hear about NYU's administration and red-tape.

Hands down Wharton

Ross.............

Wharton...

wharton is better, but if u like nyc more than philly, then stern is for u.

Wharton is the better education and is more prestigious. However, both will get you excellent jobs.

If you want to study a lot of liberal arts stuff on the side of your business degree, and want the best education as a whole, Wharton.

If you love NYC, Stern.

Wharton better education

You wont need grad school if you go to wharton, so think about that. Wharton is considered grad school, all others (even stern) are considered undergrad schools on the road to grad school

harder to get into wharton or harvard undergrad?
im assuming wharton?

LOL. Plenty of Stern B.S. students never need grad school because the ug program is on par with the best universities in the nation

ok guys, im pretty sure in order to succeed in the business world, you will more often than not, need an mba. Going to stern or wharton or any other top undergraduate program in the nation for that matter won't and does not substitute for an mba. my father (who works for morgan stanley in nyc and often recruits) told me the school from which you receive an mba from is extremely important and most of the time, outweighs the school from where you received your undergrad diploma.

Wharton...what a silly question.

Whether you'll need a grad degree or not depends on what you do. How sucessfull you are in your job is obviously a factor, as is the the type of job you do. In general, if you go to into trading and do well, you aren't going for an MBA. Investment banking on the other hand normally requires grad degrees at the higher levels, especially at the bulge bracket firms. Same goes for consulting.

Wharton is better, but not by much, and the gap between Stern and Wharton is clearly getting smaller. That being said, both are great schools, and you really can't go wrong at either one. Visit both schools, and go to the place you like more.

Good luck.

Wharton is better, if wharton was in NYC than no school could come close, stern only helps cuz of its location, columbia (another excellent school) rivals its, even though it may not have business program a good econ degree goes a long way. wharton has no real rivals except swarthmore.

location is everything

"stern only helps cuz of its location"

C'mon now, yes the location helps, but its not the only thing...NYU itself is awesome. There are other undergrad b schools in New York City that don't come anywhere near Stern.

dude, jwblue, you are arguing with 17 yr olds. You can't win this, because they are too stupid to realize how dumb they are.
