It has always been my dream to go to NYU, but I don't know what my chances would be.
I've taken 3 SAT II tests
US History - 640
English Lit - 690
Biology- 620
My actual SAT score is still pending seeing as I need to retake it and I've yet to take the ACT.
My unweighted GPA is a 3.6
My core GPA is a 3.96
My weighted GPA is a 5.2
My class rank is 18 out of 470.
By the time I graduate I would have taken 8 AP classes in total.
I am the president of my schools Environmental Club, and I helped start plastic recycling at my school. I'm in tae kwon do and I work at Cinemark (movie theater). I'm in NHS, Model UN, Relay for Life, and band. I have over 200 volunteer hours and plan to make it well above the required 250 to get the silver chord.
What worries me are my test scores because I always freak out when taking them and do far worse than I am capable of...i don't know. According to the collegeboard website my scores are above average, but some direct opinions would be helpful. Should I retake them or not?

Are you applying ED or RD? I would say you have good SAT II’s, although, your Biology SAT II is a little low. It also depends on which college within NYU you are applying to. Stern is harder than CAS, for example. Your GPA meets the average for NYU, and your EC’s are good. I can’t really say whether I think you would get in or not because you have not taken the ACT or SAT yet. Good luck!

Thank you so much! I was plannning on applying to the College of Arts and Sciences…and since NYU only requires 2 SAT II scores, should I not bother submitting the bio score? Are my other two scores good enough? I was planning on applying RD. I would apply ED, but if I don’t get the financial aid I need then I would be in trouble. Thank you for your input!!
