I apologize in advance for adding to the mania instead of helping to minimize it, can someone humor me: in the Albert portal, when you click on the “View My To Do List” under “Financial Aid,” and it takes you to the “to do” list,do you see this paragraph:
Please note that if you do not wish to borrow the federal loans that may have been offered to you, you can decline them by going to the ‘Accept / Decline Financial Aid’ link in Albert.
@tz6616 Saw it under one of the posts in the main insta account of NYU. Students did that, not sctual NYU representatives. I don’t know if I was clear about that in my previous post.
hopefully tmr!!! Just got rejected from George Washington which is a shocker bc I got into Northeastern which I assumed to be more competitive (I guess not??) Now I’m freaking out about NYU bc of this
April 1st will probably be the time you hear back. NYU usually issues their decisions on IVY Day. Also the housing hack is true. Coming from a parent who went through same thing you all are going through…GOOD LUCK
When my son applied. He was able to access the housing portal. I believe it remained Freshman Fall of whatever year your coming in. Now, on the day the decisions come out, those who are rejected cannot see their housing portal anymore. I believe it disappears around 1pm right before decisions, but if yours remains up until 3pm or later, thats a sure chance you are accepted…
@AikiYudansha honestly sound like you’re just trying to stress people out. It was mentioned multiple times that the housing hack is not true. More than that, NYU had to publish an article about that sort of nonsense in the past. Please stop worrying applicants.
