NYU RD Notification Date

@Rickdaily - Same here. CAS applicant. No email. International student. Extremely disheartened right now.

I’m afraid that the lack of e-mails in the last 30 minutes is not a good sign :s

@Stoplights That’s the same as me. I’m pretty concerned…

I dont have a single thing, @rickdaily

@rickdaily applied to CAS, nothing yet.

@greengecko, according to the admissions site it could take a couple of days for all decisions to go out.

@mjessor we still have a chance?

@chocolias

Where did you get the info that you wouldn’t get your degree in four years? I saw this on their website:
All students who complete their first year at NYU Florence, NYU London, NYU Paris, or NYU Shanghai join their peers at NYU’s New York City campus for their sophomore year. By the end of their second year at NYU, students will have completed 64 credits, one-half of the 128 credits required for an NYU bachelor’s degree.

I have a 4.9 GPA but my SATs were just okay…

On a lighter note, NYU’s admissions office is closed. So, there must be a computer spitting out rejections/acceptances at random.

@dudeecollege a couple pages back in this thread, people who said they had no changes on Albert said they received acceptances.

@steeners123, I think we still have a chance. My friend really seems to think well hear tonight and they arent just doing rejections all later. So well see.

@mjessor i haope you’re right :)

I don’t have all the stats to know how hard or true this is, but what I mean to say is that it does seem inconvenient to meeting whatever requirements or needs for our personal interests/majors when we Must follow a strict curriculum for 2 yrs. But hey, i don’t know what works for you!

OMG nobody’s posted for so long… really getting a bad feeling about this…

I have yet to hear of anyone accepted into my program.

A few things:

 1. Are they only sending out the emails to people in certain schools so far? Like I know people from the school of nursing who have gotten in, but not people from liberal arts. If this is the way they’re doing it, which schools have heard back so far?
 2. Has anyone been rejected or waitlisted yet? I’ve only heard of acceptances. I wonder of they’re going to send out all of the acceptances first, and then the rejections and waitlists. Since I’ve only heard of acceptances, and I havent gotten an email from they yet, I’m getting kind of nervous that I’ve been rejected! Nothing has changed on my Albert page either, but from skimming this thread I’ve learned that no change on Albert doesn’t mean anything bad…or at least I hope not.
 3. Do we have to find out by Sunday? Or is the last day they can tell us April 15th?

If you check your Albert, and under application status you see admit type: new freshman, does it mean you are admitted? I don’t receive the email

“Admissions decisions for Regular Decision applicants will be released starting at 3pm on Thursday, March 29 exclusively via email. No admission decisions will be released over the phone until Monday, April 2. It may take a couple days for all decisions to be received.
Students who are admitted will also be mailed an official admission decision letter, along with a packet of materials about housing and programs in April for admitted students.”

@mjessor what program?

@IamNPH, Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music.

I think they are maybe going by majors? I dont know.

oh, yeah I have no idea

I know a bunch of people from stern haven’t heard yet, I’m pretty sure the emails are going out in waves
