BREAKING NEWS!
I just called the office of admissions because I was curious about the whole financial aid change of status thing. They said that this change will occur on everyone’s NYU Albert account in the coming week, and it is in NO WAY a reflection of your admissions decisions. So I guess people who don’t have that change can breathe a sigh of relief.

^wow thank you so much! I was so discouraged because mine didn’t change! You just relieved my stress haha

They always say that lol…they don’t want u getting hints yet

Or he’s right and your a ■■■■■. Put a sock in it and let us enjoy our hope.

I’m being realistic…look up Boston college forum they having the same discussion. Stop having huge amounts of hope so that u can deal with rejection better. Trust me having no hope feels better overall

Haha Telandis! You have no idea what the word “realistic” means because you are DELUSIONAL! Funny you should say that “they always say that,” because my grandmother is actually the florida admissions counselor for NYU and she is the one I talked to. She said that the financial aid office and admissions office NEVER coordinate with each other, and that the list of rejected and accepted students do not get sent to the financial aid office until AFTER the admissions decisions are released. So don’t be ignorant you little piece of scum, because that attitude is exactly what will get you no where in life! Enjoy your decrepit, miserable life tool!

I know I have no chance but does that mean I can’t have hope? Trust me, I’ve already received several rejections, and I had especially high hopes for my ED Hopkins and was rejected and was I upset? No I was perfectly fine, moved on with my life, and looked forward to my acceptances.

Just because you get excited and have high hopes does not mean that a rejection will ruin you. Everyone takes rejection differently, but I personally know that I am strong and that a rejection wouldn’t hurt me, but an acceptance would mean the world to me.

Very true Mango15. And you totally know that Telandis is the person who would bawl in his/her room for days upon days if he/she got rejected!

Well…the rage and flaming u guys displayed showed the maturity u have. If u have no room for critical opinions I suggest u stay away from a higher institution of learning. I advise u to not have high hopes all the time, take it as u will. The ridiculous bawling and insulting isn’t going to get u into NYU.

Mango I don’t mean to offend u too much at least ur not making ridiculous insults to me. But CMac…ur calling me delusional? Ignorant scum? I have credible sources too tyvm so I suggest u back down. U should be a bit careful about what u say, certain schools have people monoteering college confidential u might wanna keep the insults at bay

Telandis… And now you’re trying to invoke fear among other college applicants? I wonder how many applicants have been rejected due to “monoteering” counselors? Take it from someone sensible: ADMISSION COUNSELORS HAVE NEITHER THE TIME NOR THE DESIRE TO READ THROUGH COLLEGE FORUMS LIKE THIS.
Your demeaning tone, and overall message completely degraded all NYU applicants, and being the mature young adult I am, I’m ending this conversation now. You aren’t worth my time.

Oh boy I made a mistake typing on my phone but obviously that proves I can’t spell. I’m intimidating? What a joke ur being rather vicious and crazy urself. Lol that must be ur first mature decision in quite a while i’d imagine.

Everyone needs to calm down.

One thing to consider: this is not a financial aid situation - after all, even on the changed Alberts, it still shows no actual aid info. Rather, this is an issue of the financial aid “interface”, for lack of a better word, was changed on Albert. This could mean anything, it could mean nothing, but it probably has nothing to do with the financial aid office changing anything.

All I’m saying is that everyone deals with rejection differently, so if your method is to not get your hopes up then more power to you! But you seemed to try to impose your method on us and suggest that that is how all of us should feel.

Point is, we are all in the same situation and we should be there for each other instead of ripping each others heads off.
