NYU Receives Record Number of Freshman Applications

yes. Likely letter or call maybe. Or else, I don't know.

I definitely don't think she was good enough for a likely letter.

Several people have already reported being referred to GSP.

GSP seems like a case..

Yes GSP hears much earlier than everyone else, about a month early for ED and two for RD.

AY888 - I have never heard of stern professors who have difficulty speaking english. I'm not sure which teachers your friend had, but there's been no issue with that. The math department? Yes, for sure. But the Stern professors have been surprisingly good, and the average stern class size is 50 or less I believe. It also feels like much less cause the rooms make it seem like you're really close to the profs.

I have a friend who is in Stern... she says her math professor speaks terrible English and it's impossible to learn from him. She's only a freshman, though, so I don't think she's taken any business courses or met any actual Stern profs yet.

Yes, like I said the math department is notorious for having heavily accented professors. But math is also part of CAS, not Stern, so I'm not quite sure what she's talking about. You don't learn any high-level math from a teacher anyways, I got through Calc III basically by reading the book. Even as a freshman she should be taking at least a stern course second semester.

Stern profs are great.. I know that some CAS profs, especially math profs can be a pain, but really, Stern professors are top notch, no worse than Wharton's.
