Hi everyone
I wanted to get some general info about Stern's BPE program, but there is so few out there!
Could anyone from Stern share about this program?
How different it is than the rest of the school, what do they do after they graduate (most curious about this), social life, anything in general...
Thank you in advance!

From what I gather, NYU’s BPE Program could be a gateway to a great law school. Grads also take up careers in politics and social organizations.

^ That is true - Kids in those programs end up highly successful especially those planning to go to law school (There are multiple Harvard, Yale, NYU, Columbia, Penn, Stanford Law admits every year from that program)

If not law, they are usually going into consulting, investment banking, some area of finance or economics research

Thanks guys…
I really hope I get in

Hey @twofifteen . Im currently a freshman in BPE and we’re actually planning on creating a blog independent of the school to let people know about the program. Basically the main difference between BPE and the main curriculum is that we travel, have more politics/philosophy classes, and are much more tight knit and help each other out. The thing I was most scared about coming to NYU was that it was so big and making friends is known to be terrifying and difficult. BPE made that a non-issue; many of my friends are in the program and it really created an amazing community (and yes I do have friends outside of BPE). People in BPE usually either go into management consulting, law, or finance after graduation. A lot of people drop out because they are scared of traveling or realize exactly what they want to be (but many regret dropping). Also a lot of people apply knowing they will drop and only want to get in because we don’t have to take the dreaded freshman writing seminars everyone at NYU has to take (they stay in BPE freshman year and then drop out). If you want to know my stats in terms of possibly getting in, it may help but I think we have a very academically diverse group of students (not everyone is 2250+ and had all A’s, even though the program is highly selective). They look for real interest in international studies because they want to keep their yield up. That being said:
