Thanks people :)

bump for "Asian Indian (I)" ! :)

Looks good. Your chances are good. In fact, I'd be surprised if you didn't get in.

FYI - It'd be a good idea to do something about that Lit score of yours, although ultimately it probably won't make a difference.

thanks for the reassurance; anyone else care to pipe in? maybe some NYU alumni/students/etc.?

Your stats (and even race) are close to a 90% match to me, but I'm currently a junior. Best wishes and keep us posted in December on the results. I think you have a good luck, with SAT and GPA in the range for Stern; the internship will look pretty good.

I hear from people at Stern that they take internships and jobs into consideration, but not heavily. They admit you based on your personality, essays and the short response questions. Nonetheless, your experience will help and your credentials look great. I applied to NYU Stern ED as well, my stats are on a couple of posts somewhere on the board. You have great leadership positions, which will definetly help, just make sure you write a strong essay. Good luck!

i like my whole application; my essay was 857 words until i found on the paper application that the limit is 400-500. unfortunately they didn't put this on the online app, but i caught it in time. good luck to you!

p.s. how much does having a sibling that went to NYU help?

Yea, 857 words is going to hurt you, unless you reduced it. I doubt legacy helps that much, unless your family member contributed significantly to the university.

yeah i caught it in time, it was 448 when i sent it heh.
