My amazing college didn't let us choose our 1st sem. classes and just gave us block schedules. NYU Stern has a couple of prereqs like micro/macro eco and calc. I was awarded AP Calc AB Credit for my score of 4, which is why I didn't take calc, and I'm taking microecon this semester. The prereqs for Stern:

introductory macroeconomics,
introductory microeconomics,
calculus,
expository writing,
and introductory accounting (a combination of managerial accounting and financial accounting totaling at least 6 semester hours).

I could only take an econ course the 2nd semester, and a prereq for macro is micro (which I'm taking now). As for accounting, the prereq for my school is sophomore standing, and as a freshman, I couldn't take it. So because of a mix of my current schools system and my own mistakes of choosing classes and not predicting the future, I'm in a pickle. I'm applying to NYU for next fall. Almost all of the extra forms have been sent and only the main app and essays are due. I want to major in economics, but honestly, I don't think I'd go to NYU if I don't get into Stern. I just don't understand why I won't be able to take those courses next year if I get in...oh well.

Should I apply to CAS or Stern? I still might go to CAS if I get in, but I doubt it. I would probably go if I get into Stern though, but I don't think I would get accepted just based on the fact that I haven't completed the prereqs. Any advice?

Some stats:
1st Sem. GPA: 3.5
CUNY Baruch College
SAT: 1520 + 700 Writing

However, I retook the SATs while I was in college and I understand that NYU doesn't like that...my old SAT was 1320 (720 M 600 V)

And I know that I won't be able to transfer into Stern later on if I get into CAS.
