Nyu stern scholarship

<p>I was just accepted into NYU stern with a stern scholarship of 34k early decision.
It just says stern scholarship so is that a merit based or need based scholarship. Also I filed my CSS profile but not my official fafsa yet. So I only gave them estimates for next years income. However my dad had just lost his job so next year out income will prob only be 31,000 for a family of 4. For this year out tax return reporting 59,000$. Do you think this will give me a better chance at an appeal for more scholarship money at NYU? </p>

<p>Also since I haven't filed my 2014 tax return yet is they just base the scholarship awarded on my estimates in my CSS profile?</p>

<p>Since you have applied ED, they will usually send out your financial aid package along with your decision since you have a small window whether or not to accept. Unless you are PEll/TAP eligible, other than a $5500 stafford loan, I would not expect any more money to come from NYU</p>
