Hi, I am a Canadian student taking the IB Diploma Program (full IB) at my high school. I was reading over the NYU standardized exam policy, Standardized Tests

It stated that:
NYU has one of the most flexible testing policies of any college or university.

To be eligible for admission, applicants to NYU's New York and Abu Dhabi campuses are expected to submit results from one of the following testing options:

The SAT Reasoning Test; or
The ACT (with Writing Test); or
Three SAT Subject Test scores; or
Three AP exam scores; or
Three IB higher level exam scores; or
Students may instead elect to submit results from a nationally accredited exam that is considered locally to signify the completion of secondary education and is administered independently of the student's school.
Examples include but are not limited to:

International Baccalaureate Diploma; or
GCE Advanced Level Examinations (AS-level and GCSE/O-level examination results should also be submitted if available); or
European Abitur, Baccalaur

There is no cutoff specified for IBDP at NYU. The UK universities do have specific cutoffs and therefore they offer provisional admissions only.

Having said that, in my opinion you should have strong scores in Math,English and whichever related business subject you have taken. 6 in your HLs in grade 11 will definitely help you.

Also my D is a Stern freshman and an International student. She was an IBDP student as well. She submitted only 3 SAT Subjects scores- Math 2, Bio and English. The scores were a clear reflection of her strength in Math and English. Of course the Bio scores were above 700 as well.

The SAT and Subject SAT help you get your application filtered in the first look. I say this because when one applies for colleges in US that is the standard cutoff criteria along with the Grades. So will make things easier to evaluate at first glance.

I think my IB prediction including bonuses will be around 40-42/45 respectively.
I will be getting them soon but I had early predictions in grade 11 to see where my standing was:
English may be around a 5-6. (My weakest)
Business and Management HL - 7
I am almost guaranteed of getting a 7 predicted for Math SL. Is it okay that I took Math SL instead of HL?

However, the only state university I want to apply for is ED NYU Stern, and I do not think I will be submitting my SAT scores/subject. NYU claims IBDP predicteds are enough and will be considered equally to everything else, but I wanted to confirm in this forum if this was true.

Yes, it is true. The IB grades will be adequate
