I have a 3.6 GPA with rigorous coursework at a reputable and recognized college prep high school, currently taking the ACT and bringing up superscore to ~32, founded a heritage society and am currently VP at my school, multiple internships at political campaign offices (US Senatorial and City Council election of a large city), 4 years of a 3 season sport with 5am practices (rowing), after school job at chipotle, plan to work a job over the summer, plan to go on service trip over the summer, extensive service/volunteer work, in the process of starting a money raising campaign for aforementioned heritage club, letter of recommendation letter from former US Senator that I interned for. Only a junior right now. Chances of getting in? If not likely what else can I do?
You know Stern had an 8% admit rate last year and will likely fall below that this year? Suggestions: Higher ACT (NYU overall 25th-75th percentile is 30-34 ACT and Stern is usually at the higher end of the overall ranges), higher GPA (average for NYU overall is 3.7, Stern will be higher) and make sure you have match and safety schools on your list. Also with your ECs being more political in nature are you aiming at BPE?
SJ 2727 I’ve considered that. I’m not really sure right now (still a junior). Are the admissions the same, or is it harder to get into NYU Stern? I

Do you mean is it harder to get into Stern than NYU in general? Generally, yes. Bear in mind the overall stats for NYU are dragged lower slightly by those whose portfolios for Tisch and Steinhardt might offset below average grades, and admits to the opportunity programs also have lower than average stats. Last year the overall NYU admit rate was 19% vs 8% at Stern. That’s not to say that every single stern admit has fantastic stats - ECs and essays can make a difference, so definitely try - but I’d also suggest being realistic, don’t get too emotionally invested, and have some good backup choices as well.
