Does anyone have any knowledge of Tisch students being able to double major? It has been said, in theory, that it's do-able but I wonder the likelihood.

I know studio days are MWF and students can take other classes on T/Th, but is it realistic to be able to complete the requirements of a major in two days? Also, looking at the tuition page, it looks like students are limited to a certain number of classes before they have to pay an up charge. So, I am wondering if anyone has direct experience with this....

(I posted an identical thread under Theater/Drama)

Studio days are Tues, Thurs, Fri and academic classes and private lessons are on Mon, Wed.

I can’t really answer your double major question but I will add that NYU has something called January Term during which there are no studio classes. That gives students interested in other academic areas the chance to take classes that are offered during that period. It means they return to campus early after a briefer winter break but there is no additional charge for housing during that period since NYU students do not have to vacate their housing over any holidays or breaks (except summer break).

My daughter is looking to do a minor but not a second major but I believe both are doable.
