NYU Tisch or Arts&Sciences?

I am a high school senior this year looking to go into film but I am not positive that this is exactly what I want to do as i have also considered advertising and journalism. My top choice school is NYU, but I do not know what college to apply to.

I am thinking Tisch, but I have not started the supplemental application. However, I think I could do resume, anecdote, and personal story pretty quickly. For the creative submission, I am thinking of finishing a creative story im part-way done with. I am interested in film, but I do not have much film background or experience, so I cannot really post a video.

Anyways, do I have a better chance of getting into Tisch or A&S? I know I should have started the supplemental app earlier, but yeah. I am not 100% sure I want to go into film, so since A&S is usually easier to get into, that would be a good idea. Plus I would not have to do the extra app. And that is the school I would be in for journalism. However, I have heard that transferring to Tisch is extremely difficult as well, so maybe I might as well try now? But since I don't have that much experience, my supplemental app will not be that strong. Will that hurt me??

ANY ADVICE IS MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!!

bummmmmmp bumppppp

bump PLEASE I REALLY NEED AVDICE

bump I will chance anyone who helps me out!

I know you only have a day left, and for may have already missed the Tisch supplemental deadline, but my daughter applied ED1 to Tisch, got in, and is glad she did. Like you, she’s not sure film will be her career (I don’t think anyone your age does), but it seems a lot easier to change from Tisch to CAS then vice versa. However, if your test scores, GPA and recommendations are all strong, your acceptance chances into CAS are better than Tisch. Also. If your recommendations don’t discuss your interest in film, I advise you to apply to CAS.

Hi Espoole! I apologize as I just saw this. I did end up applying to CAS. My letters do not mention the interest, and I felt I had a better chance to get into CAS, and I would rather get in there than not at all. Thanks so much for your input though, hopefully I get in and maybe see your daughter around campus!
