Kirby, I discussed more if an actor’s resume but the film resume must be similar. If you don’t see examples on line just call NYU Tusch and ask them. They are very nice.

MosDad -

Haha thankyou for replying! Unfortunately I literally just pressed ‘send’, so there’s nothing I can do now but hope for the best. Best of luck to your daughter!

I hope a two-page creative resume is ok as that is what my son wrote. He included both works that he has made and activities, honors, community service, etc. I called Tisch and they actually weren’t that helpful explaining what was needed. Very terse reply to my question what a creative resume was “just google creative resume”, which of course, turned up millions of resumes that are creative (non-standard), rather than resumes about creative work.

Any other film folks out there?

I would not give up at that. Some advice from a father of a 16 year old: The deadline is… As per the website…“The deadline to apply is Monday, February 4, 2013, 5 p.m. (EST)” . I just went to my D account, logged in and clicked on Required Documents. That brings up a window that allows you to upload a document. There is still time. Here is a link that shows a good format for a creative r

Kirby1996, I just discovered that you can change your resume if you like and replace (delete then upload a new file). Go to the Required Documents Film Manager, Click on the X to the right of the file. Then upload the new file.

Thanks, MosDad, I’ll check out the link you give.

Great catch garlix! I did not scroll down far enough. But if Kirby did not upload one to begin with then the route I suggested would work as well. Good collaborative effort everyone! As we used to,say in my college days, " cooperate and graduate!"

Thankyou guys so much for the help. I tweaked it a bit, but ultimately stuck with what I generally had put. However, I did include any bigger works that were recognized and I added links to my flickr / vimeo.

Hey! Good idea adding links to your Flickr and Vimeo! I’m applying for the drama program (Stonestreet) so that doesn’t apply to me but I think that’s something that not many people thought of doing and will make you stand out! Hope everyone gets in!!! :DD

Thanks for the suggestions and info shared. Good luck everyone! I hope everyone gets in to their first choice programs. Let’s check in here when we hear back from Tisch in late March.

Accepted into Meisner with full scholarship! Has anyone else heard yet?

Not yet! Congratulations!!! Did u get notified through email?

Yes, it was email.

Congratulations, Icypeppermint, on the acceptance and the full scholarship! Did you expect to hear this early? My S applied for Film and the application noted that we’d hear on March 25th by email – maybe it implied that we would hear BY then. Now I’m not sure.

Need help from other Tisch applicants. I just logged in to son’s Tisch application on line and read this:
Current Application Status Accepted - Summer High School
We have not gotten an email yet, so I hesitate to celebrate in case I am misreading or misunderstanding this status. Could it mean that application has been accepted? not that he has been accepted? Can someone check their status and tell me what it says, “pending” or “complete” or does everyone’s say “accepted”?

Heart is beating wildly…

Just called Tisch directly. They had emailed my son on March 6th but unbeknownst to him, it had ended up in the SPAM folder. So he is in! Tisch says that all film program students have been notified. Deadline is April 1 for TISCH to RECEIVE deposits and confirmations (NOT postmark date!). After that date, they would go to wait list to fill any openings.

Any other Film students out there?

Accepted for Film!!! I’m ecstatic!

@garlix - thankyou so much for writing that post about the email being in your son’s spam… mine was as well and I’ve been killing myself waiting for it!!

Kirby1996, congrats to your son!! I’m glad I could be of help. I wonder how many students don’t know they got in!! It would be nice of Tisch to send actual letters to the students. I may call them and let them know how confusing and distressing it is not to get the email.

For those of you who have completed the Tisch Summer Program for Film, did you find it to be a valuable experience?

We had the same spam issue with my son’s acceptance – we found he got in
