NYU Transfer Fall 2021

Okay I understand what you mean. But it would’ve been better if you compiled the info from 2020 one not 2018.

It won’t take too long

LOL yes it would but if you look back on my post on April 8th you’d see I wasn’t the one who compiled that info. I copied and pasted a post from someone else who had. I’m trying to do that for people next year on this year’s post. I’d have had to take hours to sift through last year’s post to do that. Ain’t got time for that! Haha!

Anyway, just trying to help out anxious kids in future years. I certainly don’t have to do a list at all if no one is interested.

I think it’s a great idea for when decisions start rolling out

okay i was looking at the thread from last year and a few started receiving decisions may 1st (which was a friday) they came out around 4pm so my theory is we’ll either start hearing april 30th or may 7th (thats if they keep it on a friday)

There were quite a few acceptances on April 24 last year in every different program. Except for Tisch which were mostly May and many didn’t hear until May or even June for all programs. It’s truly random and all over the place. Just post on here as you get your decisions and good luck everyone!

Hey!! I just found this forum. I applied to CAS as a Global Public Health: Anthropology major. I sent my application in probably around march 27/28, so definitely close to the deadline. I would likely be a junior transfer, if credits transfer well. Ive seen a few people say they’ve already heard back from CAS, and i’m getting super nervous because I know rejections are sent later. would love to hear other people’s experience that have either applied or heard back from CAS!

double deposit…which isn’t ideal, but still an option :woman_shrugging:

I’m not sure if my input is gonna mean anything, but I submitted my application around February 13th, and the deadline for internal transfers is March 1st. Tisch Film and TV does require a portfolio, so I’m not sure if that means much.

have you heard back?

No, nothing yet. Starting to get kind of annoyed lol

I applied to CAS too! I’m soo nervous that some people have heard back already, i thought it would be a while until decisions started coming out!

Are you an internal transfer, too?

ahhh I know. and hearing the freshman acceptance rate is freaking me out :flushed:

im an external, do internal transfers hear back first??

SAME, i had no idea the acceptance rate was so low when I applied lol

yes, internal transfers usually get their decisions earlier

honestly I know we have a better chance as transfers, just statistically speaking. but i’m liiiike… :grimacing:

Ohh ok thank u!! That makes me feel much better lol

Yeaaa but it still makes me sooo scared, is the transfer acceptance rate usually higher than 1st years?
