When do the bulk of decisions usually go out, the first few weeks of May?

^ man… first few weeks of May = mid-May already, lol

the majority of applicants hear around may 15th according to last year’s thread.

just called today,

the women didn’t even ask for any of my personal info, just said “we can’t look up personal application status”. LOL

it’s so annoying checking the mail box and email everyday like now…>.<…
why dont they just give out all the decisions!!
it feels like waiting to die…>.<…arghhhh

I have a feeling we are not going to be hearing this week, unfortunately.

I get the same feeling, Javeb.

I don’t think most of us will hear until the 20th to be very true.

I was wondering, there’s extreme stress on essays but the only pseudo-essays I’ve noticed require a minimal length, did I even fill out the right application?

Could you guys tell me what the transfer essay questions are? I’m a little afraid that I might’ve done the wrong essays or missed out on a certain essay.

For the common app, there was the Why Transfer? essay. For the NYU supplement, there was a short answer about how you spent your last summer vacation and then the following questions with a 500 character limit each:

If you had the opportunity to spend one day in New York City with a famous New Yorker, who would it be and what would you do? (Your New Yorker can be anyone -past or present, fictional or nonfictional - who is commonly associated with New York City; they do not necessarily have to have been born and raised in New York.)

Write a haiku, limerick, or short (eight lines or less) poem that best represents you

In the year 2050, a movie is being made of your life. Please tell us the name of your movie and briefly summarize the story line.

Please tell us what led you to select your anticipated academic program and/or NYU school/college, and what interests you most about your intended discipline.

The NYU application from their website was exactly what pinkyswore just described.

Could any of you please review what I wrote? I’m sort of afraid since my stats are not decent enough. 1300/1920 SAT I, 3.6 college GPA, barely any ECAs.

pm me. i’ll gladly look over it.

@ThrowingMuses: You have a decent shot at CAS, Gallatin and Steinhardt. If you applied to Stern, your chances are low. Good luck with the process!

I would also read it. Pm me!

Thanks for the moral support, you guys. (:

PMed it to you guys. Thank you so much.

LOOOL. sometimes i think the lady working in the nyu undergraduate office are really annoyed of us. last time when i called about my transcript she didnt even ask for my ID number and told me they havent received it. wth…

Hey do you guys know whether CAS Econ students can get many internship opportunities easily? I know Stern students enjoy many benefits even from the business school itself, not to mention about having lots of internship offers, but I am not sure about CAS.

I got accepted to a few good schools for Econ(UCLA, UNC, NYU) but haven’t decided which school to go yet. I guess I care about internship opportunities the most. Please help me out

Would also gladly read it for you! Ahh at the rate they’re going at it I don’t think we’ll hear back as soon as we think. Lol the people in te admissions office sound like they’re asleep haha!!
