<p>also does anyone know if you are placed into a different pool of applicants if you applied for financial aid from those who did not. thanks a lot</p>

<p>I haven’t received a decision yet, and the wait has been painful as you probably know. Anyway, I don’t leave my college until May 15th, but my school doesn’t start redirecting mail to my house until May 25th. If the decision doesn’t come next week, I’m just worried I won’t get it until the very end of the month. But I need to send a deposit to another school by June 1st. I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing, or if you could offer me any advice on what to do? On the Common App, I wrote that I would be at my current address until May 14th, so would NYU see that and send it to my home anyway? </p>

<p>@crust1054: some people called admission office and they told them the result. i would suggest you do the same thing. and i think you can also update you address, which is what i am probably going to do 'cause i will be leaving US in two weeks for 3 months…</p>

<p>okay so about this whole netID thing…mine worked but i honestly don’t know what that means…i applied to steinhardt and it was a complete reach and although i really want to go to NYU i just figured it was a long shot so i really don’t want to get my hopes up about the netID working. does anyone know if it working actually means you were accepted or is everyone sort of assuming?</p>

<p>@cld0514-- i know a few people that got into steinhardt as a reach school this fall, so I don’t think you should rule it out at all! I think if your netID works, you’re set, son congratulations! :)</p>

<p>Steinhardt is much more of a “fit” situation than sheer numbers, so maybe Steinhardt thought you were awesome and you belonged there!</p>

<p>Everyone has to be cleared by an advisor before registering for courses. There’s a block up put in place by the system.</p>
