that’s so weird. they didn’t tell me. the woman said i will be notified by email 'cause i am an international student.

I just called them. They said my case was still under review, and that a lot of admissions decisions will be sent out this week as they are trying to wrap up the process. Hoping that everyone that applied to Stern gets in haha.

hi mazz0408, I am an international student as well, but I received my package without receiving an email from them. So don’t be surprised if you get your package without an email notification lol

@zdnomsed

thanks. haha. i am just so nervous. can’t wait to see the result

@googman:

When did you apply? I called today and they said they haven’t reached a decision on my application yet either, but I don’t know if that’s because there was some confusion on my status and it was therefore considered late (even though I had everything in well before April 1st<—this is completely their fault).

I really hope this isn’t because they screwed my application up. If you applied before April 1st, it will definitely ease my mind and allow me to focus on finals!

@octoberbay I applied on the 31’st, but when i called in about a week ago the file clerk said that she couldn’t locate my file, and later when an academic advisor found it said that " it was in the wrong place". I wouldn’t be surprised if they have misplaced something or did something wrong with the volume of incoming mail that they are receiving, but do check again and again haha with them to make sure that all your credentials are in. Best of luck to you, and hope you get in.

On the 31st of March is when I applied.

I want my decision already!! Boo! But, we will all know by the 15th, right?

ACCEPTED (Stern)!!!
Just got the email!

They send emails? I thought it was by mail?

@collegefreak12
I called the admissions office about an hour ago.
The lady told me that because my current address is only valid till today and my home address is overseas,
they’ll send me an email first to let me know earlier.
The email contains a short message saying that my package is being UPSed to my home address and a scan of my acceptance letter.

Nice. Maybe I should try to pull something like that

What number did you call?

The number on the email with the university ID.

What email are people talking about, and when were we supposed to get it? The only email I got was confirming that my application was sent ( I used the NYU embark one).

@collegefreak12 me too, i’m wondering the same.

i didn’t know they send email either…

guys, just call the admissions office. the telephone number for that is on this page:
[Contact Us](Questions)

p.s: i haven’t called yet. although i was able to create a net id.

good luck everyone!

I did call…they said that no one is getting news by email or by phone, just by mail. Also, I asked about net id twice, and both times they dodged that and said just call us back if you don’t get anything in the mail by the 15th.

I felt the same way everytime I called admissions. Everytime they ask for my NetID and I tell them I was never assigned or I don’t have them and they would respond by saying “Oh…(long pause) Can I have your SS #?” WEIRD!!!
