How hard is it to transfer from the Sports Management major to the Stern school? I know I have to stay in Sports Management at least one year. Has anyone transferred within the schools at NYU?

I've heard it is almost impossible to switch into Stern.

many people transfer within schools at nyu. however, I know fewer transfer to stern. just go in and take the classes you need to and work hard. because stern really will care about your grades.

Thanks queen and sylenteck, I will bump this post tomorrow since it is 11;10 pm in NY. Hopefully I will get more responses.

"I've heard it is almost impossible to switch into Stern."

haha. i just successfully internally transferred into Stern today. Just get a freakishly high GPA.

Well, I guess I'm wrong :)

Anyone else out there that has been successful like scary?

Ya, I thought it was nearly impossible too until I got accepted. I heard know a handful of people who were also accepted, so I don't know about the "impossible" part.

Hi xflash and scary2hairy, and anyone succeeding in transferring to stern,

What is your GPA, 3.9...4.0?
Is there other requirements?

Does anyone know if your merit scholarship travels with you if you transfer to Stern? My daughter got $15,000 from CAS and would not be able to give it up in order to change schools

I think it's a lot easier to transfer to Stern from CAS/Gallatin than SCPS.
