im an nyu student that can transfer to emory and was wondering what you guys think about this. some points to consider.
1. i love the city but i also want a campus really bad
2. i want a traditional college with crazy ass parties etc
3. emory is full ride while nyu is 20k in loans each year tho my bro is ballin said not to take this into account cause he has got it covered
4. it seems that emory does better in national rankings but worse in international rankings...which one of these is more prestigious?

im leaning towards emory but what do you guys think.

I don’t think that you could have made it any easier: go to Emory. While NYU is a great school by all means, Emory has a definite edge in prestige - the gap is definitely noticeable. NYU is practically anything but traditional with its location - meanwhile Emory has a gorgeous (and I mean it) campus in sunny Atlanta.

Even if Emory cost just as much as NYU, I think that it is still a clear choice. But given the fact that it is a full ride in comparison - wow - Emory should be a lock in terms of making a decision.

It also depends on what you want to major in. If you’re a business major then it’s tougher, because NYU is better than Emory in business. However, for most things, Emory would be the better choice, especially since you’re getting a full ride.

Can I ask how you got a full ride to Emory? That is quite impressive

Ummm…Emory! It has a much better social/campus life, its cheaper, and carries more prestige nationally (which is what matters). Its not even a decision. It will be the best decision you’ve ever made. Unless you have some super compelling reason to be at NYU (future actor, filmmaker, fashion industry, etc), Emory is the clear choice.

Emory without a doubt. Enjoy the best of two worlds: a beautiful campus with great academics in an amazing city (Atlanta).

Go to emory. Game over and welcome to a real college.
