I can't stop thinking about NYU :( Does anyone know last year's stats for their % admitted from the waitlist? I know that the year before that was 52%.

youarebeautiful,

Last year, it looks like the waitlisted people from all schools started hearing end of May 2010. Then there was an extended waitlist from the end of May (or a second waitlist.) So be prepared for some waiting, if the pattern follows last year’s.

Read posts 156, 269, from this thread last year. And the rest of it if you want to get a feel for what students went through last year. Not easy at times.

This was shared before but in case you missed it:

I got waitlisted too I also got waitlisted at UNC Chapel Hill and surprisingly enough, NC State university, And this is what my counselor told me when I walked into her office with a big invisible (?) over my head…Although she is completely useless at most times, what she told me did make me feel better. She said that a record number of applicants are applying to a record number of schools this year. I’ve heard of people applying to as many as 15 schools.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t have that kind of application fee money. However, this would be indicative of the number of qualified applicants being wailisted and or rejected this year. There’s just so many ! Secondary education is becoming a great deal more sophisticated, and therefore more qualified high school seniors are being thrown their way…I applied to Columbia as well, and they received a record number of applicants this year. Frankly, with the vibe I’m getting, it’s a toss. We just have to wait and see I suppose. Good luck to everyone here!

RD waitlisted applicant (prospective Biology major)

I got waitlisted there and haven’t heard back from them yet.
Its been driving me CRAZY!
Do you think I have a chance? What with it being such a small College and so far I know only five people who’ve turned it down.

:(

Does anyone have any stats for NYU AD?
Even though they’ve had like ONE batch before.

@ronald you still haven’t heard back yet? I think everybody has already received an email from admissions saying they aren’t admitting anymore until June 1st. You should definitely call. Did you apply to the NY campus as well?

Anyone heard anything?

has anyway heard anything about getting off the waitlist after june?
