Asked earlier but never answered; will we know when the class is filled if we’re on the waitlist?
yes u will know when each school is filled, last year they sent out blogs updating when each school is officially full

Wait, I am still confused by how this works. So i picked more than one schools when i filled out the may 1st waitlist form but the second confirmation email says that they have space in one of the schools I have selected and will consider “my candidacy” accordingly. So if I don’t get into that school they put me under( knock on wood), do I still get considered for other schools that I have selected?

That email is basically saying: we’re going to give you an offer tomorrow, ya ready?
Have they still not contacted anyone from Steinhardt or Gallatin?

What you need to understand is that they sent out the email to specific people after evaluating all candidates. The school indicated on the email is the one you’ll be getting admission from. As for the rest of schools you’ve indicated on the RSVP form, I’m afraid they just couldn’t give you admission to them.

Do you know what time NYU will release the waitlist decisions tommorow?
Also, do the first wave of decision include both acceptances and rejections or is it purely people who are going to be accepted first?

@Hopeful-TBivy Last year they didn’t send out rejections just acceptances. So if you didn’t get an acceptance letter you were rejected! And we have no idea what time!
@Hopeful-TBivy If you haven’t seen the twitter post: the waitlist activity has officially begun since yesterday.
You should check your email for an “interest letter” asking if you would still commit to NYU if accepted. This email is only sent to a selected few (psst. unofficial offer 
). If you got the email then I suggest responding ASAP, otherwise, maybe you can join us for mourning.
Hey guys. I just got a dm back on twitter from NYU admissions and this is what it said.
“Hi I’ve been trying to figure out this email, turns out it wasn’t a scam and you should definitely fill out that form. I’m so sorry for the misinformation! If you didn’t get a message it just means at this time we are not offering you a space. Waitlist activity is going to happen well into the summer so you may be contacted at anytime if a space opens up! Also everyone will be notified either way of what their decision will be.”
Hopes this helps to clarify anything. Applied for Tisch and no email. Hopeful though

Almost definitely
If you didn’t get a message it just means at this time we are not offering you a space. Waitlist activity is going to happen well into the summer so students may be contacted at anytime if a space opens up This what I get from NYU
