NYU, worth the money? (Stern)

Hey everyone, I'm a junior in HS and I'm really keen to apply to NYU Stern next year. In fact, I'll most likely be applying ED.

But recently I've been hearing from other Seniors about the expenses & looking deeper in the the finances of it all and NYU looks really expensive. So let me ask you guys a few things...

-Approx how much would it cost for me, a male California resident with a family income of around $100K, per year?

I've heard it's around like $60K a year??? Is that true?!

-Also, approx how much do they give an average student in FA?

and I'm pretty naive about how exactly Student Loans and everything work, so if you could explain just a bit it'd be really helpful. Thanks!

-you can use the financial aid calculator, but be aware, NYU is horrible with aid.

$60k is about right. Google nyu net price calculator. Use it to approximate how much it will cost you. do consider Berkeley & UCLA

With the Financial Aid calculator it said it will be $59K per year, with “Grant Aid” at $27K.
Is that realistic? Getting $27K in aid from NYU? (or is the calculator just extra generous)

Link to calculator I used: [Net Price Calculator](http://www.nyu.edu/admissions/financial-aid-and-scholarships/financial-aid-calculator.html)

^No, expect to get less.

How much less?

How much did you, @nyuclassof2017, approximately get?

I’m international, so I got 0 LOL.

But based on experience with friends, NYU is horrible with FA. Take a look at this link for further info:
