What happened to all those great campaign promises? Doesn't look like he's doing much of anything, except plotting ways to increase our debt. It has been confirmed that a trillion dollars will be added to our deficit every year of his term. You are brilliant, Obama.

^^ That’s exactly what I was thinking.
They can’t possibly pass everything that they say they will.
McCain wouldn’tve been able to do everything he said too.

I feel like people are giving Obama a free pass… a, “well… yeah, I guess it goes against what he said… but I’m sure he knows what he’s doing. CHANGEEEE!!! CHANGEEEEE!!! WE LOVE CHANGEEEEE!!”

If McCain didn’t come through on even ONE promise, people would have bitten his head off.

If it was McCain putting us into more debt, people would have thrown a fight.

If it was McCain sending more troops into the war, people would have started calling for a recall.

One thing that ****es me off, is that how during the campaign, when McCain said that the fundamentals of the economy were strong, voters attacked him. Told him he didn’t know diddly squat. Don’t you hear that Obama is calling this another Great Depression?!!! OLD MAN DOESN’T KNOW A THING!

And now, guess what? Obama says that the fundamentals of the economy are strong. Where are the riots and the burning of the effigies? I’m an independent, and thought both candidates were poor, but come onnnn… have a little consistency America…

The funny thing is that eventually there’s going to be a conservative nut with a lame name like pink panther or something, and they’ll agree with everything the OP says, and more.

^^ Yeah, no one is going after Obama at all…oh wait, never mind Fox News is the most watched outlet in the country. Even when Republicans are actually in power they have a persecution complex with the media. Yes they would have gone after McCain, but if you think no one is going after Obama you need to watch more news. Also Obama said he would put more troops in Afghanistan during the campaign. The debt thing does bother me though, though I do think that govt. spending is appropriate in this case.

Related note: I don’t remember Obama saying that the fundamentals of the economy were strong, all the rhetoric I have personally heard has been pretty frank and realistic. If you have a source of this I would like to see it (really, I’m serious about this).

Like Bush and Cheney never lied about anything they did

Really it’s been 70 days. No president could fix the problems that Bush left us in that amount of time. See what the economy is like in one or two years, and then maybe we’ll talk.

haha, I expected the attack. Took that risk posting here and posting that… just how I feel.

Attacking my screen name? Nice, I admit it’s dumb. But how is it relevant…?

Btw, I’m not a Republican. I just don’t like when people follow blindly without informing themselves. If you are an Obama supporter, and have done your research, I’m more than happy to have a conversation and completely, 100% respect you and your views.

Fox news says, flat out, that they come from a conservative outlook. I don’t even have cable… never seen it. I wouldn’t listen to them if I did. What I hate, is when “non-bias” media, IS bias.

the Obama quote was very different from “the economy is sound”

definitely a very different message than the fundamentals of our economy are strong. not to mention if you want to pick on tings aides said, well one did say McCain helped invent the blackberry

Fox News seems to be the only network that says anything bad about the guy…
I would never have thought that somebody could make so many bad decisions in such a short period of time.

It is so unbelievable that he removed the CEO of GM, a PRIVATELY HELD COMPANY! He is the President of the United States, not president of every company within the United States… He thinks he is a god, and while he is a very important person, some of the decisions he has made, such as incessant spending, really show that he does whatever he wants and gets away with it. He also wants to share views with the UN Human Rights council, which has members that are some of the countries with the lowest levels of civil rights.

He makes Bush look pretty great right about now.
