This being my first post I have many questions regarding my situation.

Let me begin by first stating this situation in chronological order. Okay, to start, I am currently a high school sophomore. After the close of the first quarter my parents had withdrew me from my school. As of now I am applying to another private school and will (hopefully) only be staying in my district's high school until the end of the second quarter. I have been self-teaching myself during this period away from school and have a 3.7GPA from my freshman year and first quarter of sophomore year. How will colleges view these changes if I keep doing well in each of the three schools I will hopefully be going to?

Extra Points:
Hopefully I won't be missing any quarter/semester of high school (it looks like I'm on track to receive credits and pass)
I am not behind in any classes and will be taking all honors courses

If you are taking, say, Honors Chemistry the first quarter and then move into Honors Chem at the Second school, then you should be fine. You will get a final grade for the class which would be what is reported on your transcript.

@bopper Thank you so much for your reply. If I were to go to all three schools would I receive three different transcripts (even the one I’ll hopefully go to for only one quarter)?

@bopper I’m only going for one quarter as the other private school I want to go to will only let mid-year applicants start in the second semester (basically the end of the second quarter).

You’ll likely be fine. Your final hs may consolidate the other transcripts into its own or may present them as 3 records. That’s a bridge you’ll cross when you get there. As far as your college apps go, there is a section that asks for other hs attended and you can use Addl Info to briefly explain the changes. Shouldn’t hurt you. But go for rigor, try to be engaged now in extracurriculars both in and out of the hs. The “leadership” we talk about isn’t just about club titles, it’s how you take on responsibilities and have some impact. When you do settle into the new hs, try to hit the ground running, as they say.

@lookingforward Thank you very much for the reply; it made me feel much better about the situation. I was involved in many leadership roles at my old school, so I’ll be sure to take your advice and keep those up until college applications come up.
