<p>is it just me, or are the same questions being asked over and over again on this forum? heck, it seems like even I'M regurgitating common topics! :D</p>

<p>this is true. but i can understand that people wont want to surf through all of the threads just to find the answers since its just easy to post a new toplic about it. plus some people’s questions are really personal</p>

<p>It is incredibly easy to use search… and yeah, some questions are personal. An example of a non-personal question is “How much does prestige matter?”</p>

<p>I actually think it’s cool to have questions being asked over and over. I learn a lot from the same questions, with some variations in answers.
You don’t know.</p>

<p>Although I feel there are definitely answers… and for computer science and CpE I always tell the OP to read a particular thread first.</p>

<p>This and the fact that new people respond to those same questions and offer new insight. I learn something new every time someone asks about doing one engineering vs. another or adding a minor/not adding one.</p>

<p>The bothersome questions are the ones that generally may require a speculative or open-ended answer. Basically, answers that are somewhere in the future. Like, “I’m a freshman and I want to major in CivE, what’s the job outlook like in 4 years?” Who knows?</p>

<p>probably the thing that should be taken away from this is that many future engineers have similar concerns…still it’s pretty trippy how there doesn’t seem to be any variation at all at times</p>

<p>The same thing happens in the Business Majors subforums. I usually go there because, imo, the questions and discussions are hilarious. Still, I notice the same kinds of questions popping up regularly (generally, questions about GPA, career prospects, which school to attend, etc.).</p>
