Hello all,
I was charged with possession of stolen firearms and am now a felon. I have been attending CC and have a 3.6 GPA. I will be transferring to University of Illinois for Electrical Engineering. That program is ranked 3rd in the USA. Upon graduation will I be able to find a job or am I screwed.

Is there absolutely anyway you can get a felony expunged? I know that misdemeanors can be, but I wasn’t sure about felonies.

I’m sure it will be hard, but certainly not impossible. I wouldn’t give up.

No way to get it expunged

Well your best bet is to just keep working hard and see where it gets you. You might surprise yourself.

Need more details… how old were you at the time of the arrest? What exactly were you charged and found guilty of? 1st degree felony, 2nd, etc.? Probation, deferred adjudication, prison sentence??? These can all matter to potential employers. Need more info if you’re willing to share.
