Oct SAT vs Dec SAT???

I just took the August SAT yesterday, and am trying to decide when to take it again. I guess taking it in October could be beneficial because you’re less likely to forget the material, but I’m also worried I won’t have enough time to study for it. I’ll be a junior this coming school year and always have trouble adjusting to school in the beginning of the year. In November, my school has a ton of days off so I’m thinking maybe I’ll have more time to study then. However, I’m more likely to forget math and reading concepts and once again, I’m not sure how much class work I’ll have to study for along with the SAT. Anyone have any advice? I just feel really conflicted right now.

Have you taken he ACT? Maybe study a bit every day and take the October ACT (20-30 mins a day on “maintenance”) and then take the December SAT with the same strategy…just keep doing maintenance studying.

@rofikicafe I haven’t taken the ACT yet, but I’m considering it! I’m not sure if I want to sign up for the ACT yet before I know what I got on this SAT, though. That’s another reason I’m not sure if I want to take the October SAT. If you’ve taken both tests, in your opinion which one did you think was easier?

I am a parent, but I have looked at practice tests of each… I am more a logical thinker and I found the ACT to be a better test for me. The new SAT was made to be more like the ACT, so I don’t think you would need to prep too differently for each test. You could always cancel the ACT if you are really happy with your SAT.

@rofikicafe thank you!
