Oct SATs

So the October SATs are done and over with...

I am still worried that the only thing holding me behind others would be my SAT scores... For a person in my position, what would be some redeeming factors that admissions might see?

They will look at your whole picture...are you in a leadership position? Do you have a part-time job? Do you have good character references? Are you a good athlete? All these things are taken into account as well as the SAT's. Keep working hard and keep your admissions officer aware of any awards and accomplishments in the coming weeks and months. Good luck!

I am Main Anchor for school news program, Secretary of French Club, NHS Member/Tutor, Black Belt in Taekwon-Do, BoyScout Tropp Guide and ASPL, Had a job since age 14, Run Track, Swam over the summer

I hope these are suffiient. Where can I update things on my stats? like after the online app is sent in?

Those sound good. You can email your admissions officer. I believe I gave you the address at one point. SATs and such have to be sent through snail mail.

I've emailed him in the past, but never got a response. I want to set up an interview so should I call his # that is provided?

work to get in contact until you do. dont just send one email and say oh well when you dont get a response. in fact doing so shows initiative. you wouldnt believe what i had to do to get into contact with my USNA BGO, and it ended up scoring me points with him when we did finally get in touch.

Took this off the official Academy site, regarding interviews:

Please call the front desk, Brandi Schott, 860- 444- 8503 and she will schedule for you!

schedule for you for your AO in your state? like contact him?

wouldnt it be better to call him?

You could do either but it's apparent they would prefer you go through this clerical person to free up the AO's time for other stuff.
